Verify Your Identity
One-time per rental session — verifies your identity, not a specific car.
Do you have a mobile driver's license (mDL)?
What's a mobile driver's license?
A mobile driver's license (mDL) is your state-issued ID, stored securely in Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or Samsung Wallet on your phone — it's a real, legally recognized ID, not a photo or screenshot of your card.
As of late 2026, roughly 20 states plus Puerto Rico support some form of mDL, including Arizona, Maryland, Colorado, Georgia, Ohio, Hawaii, California, Iowa, New Mexico, Montana, North Dakota, West Virginia, Illinois, and Arkansas — with more states rolling out support regularly. See Credence ID's live state tracker for the current full list.
It's worth setting up even beyond VeriDrive — an mDL works for other ID checks too (TSA checkpoints, age verification at venues and events, and more), and since it's digital, you don't need to carry a physical card as a backup once your state supports it.
Scanning from another device instead?
Scan with your phone's Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or Samsung Wallet.
We'll verify your government ID and driving record instead:
Trial: Regula Face Liveness
Standalone test of the self-hosted Regula Face SDK backend — not yet wired into the real verification flow.
Trial: FaceTec 3D Liveness
Standalone test of the FaceTec Browser SDK against FaceTec's hosted Testing API — not yet wired into the real verification flow.
App Lock
Device-level Face ID/PIN app lock (FR-A1.6) requires a native iOS/Android app — not possible from a browser tab. Deliberately not built or simulated here yet; this session is protected by your VeriDrive login only.
Enter Pairing Code
Got a code from a vehicle owner? Enter it here, inside your own verified session.
My Vehicles
Every vehicle where an owner has added you to the whitelist.
Unlock / Lock
Unlock requires the whitelist match, a fresh identity verification, AND being physically near the vehicle — your browser may ask for location permission. Lock doesn't require those checks, since locking a car can't grant anyone access.
Start & Drive (Tesla)
Same triple-gate check as Unlock (whitelist, fresh identity, proximity), then wakes and unlocks the car and opens a 2-minute window to get in and shift into Drive — no physical key needed. Tesla only. The owner must have "Allow Remote Start" enabled on the vehicle first.
